About the Author - Q&A

Why am I writing Superhero Fiction:

As a  long standing fan of all things Science Fiction, Fantasy and Comics, I am at last putting years of dedicated reading, watching and general enjoyment of the genres to work in producing this series. I have a love of the genre, along with fantasy generally, that has been pushing me to write.

What do you expect to produce here:

The story is intended to form the first part of a multi-book arc, including a variety of spin-off stories and 'shorts' (you can find a short story at the end of the Home page section, to download).

Where did you get the idea for this story:

Much of the world building has come from Gaming days with a group of role playing like minded gamers. Characters in the stories are partly drawn from gaming sessions.

Is there anyone in particular you wish to dedicate the books to:

I am keen to give an enormous thank you to the gaming group that first introduced the 'Supers' role playing game to me. In particular, Adrian Ward, who ran the first games and helped with the world building, alongside Geoff Brewer, now gone but not forgotten, who is part of the inspiration for writing this. Others there included Nigel Botham, Graham Horrobin and Chris Avery.

And if course I want to dedicate the first book to my wife and daughters who put up with me talking about the work in draft for so long.

Why write this now:

Part of the inspiration to put down in writing the events that are recorded here comes from the desire to include an homage to Geoff Brewer, who left us some years ago, but who's memory lives on in the pages. I hope I have done him credit.
